Default Scissors as percussion? Why not!

Just found out about this guy from Slovenia, Marjan Stanic.

He's also pretty good with the kit, too

So this must be the video about the kid in the class who didn't listen when the teacher warned all the kids not to play with scissors. He went off the edge a little bit dressing in a rather unorthodox fashion, and making strange music without conventional instruments.

Finally, I can be the rhythmic pulse of the band, and run at the same time...

There's living proof right there that you don't need a monster kit to be an "exciting" drummer sonically and visually.

    all the best...

I was watching a Neil Young performance one evening, and there was a guy using a broom. He was sweeping it along the floor and keeping time with the music, and even had a small solo. Thought it was pretty strange at first, but it was unique and really worked into the song.

thank goodness he's seated, and not running
if you ask a drummer what time it is?!? they're likely to respond with a time signature "oh, it's 4/4"....

[QUOTE=xweasel;468998]That reminds of the group Stomp:

Stomp is awesome! If you ever get to see a Stomp show, you will be floored. They are so imaginative and precise, it's really impressive. I think there is a Stomp show in residence somewhere in Vegas still.

The scissors were way cool, too. Loved the kit stuff as well. The song was way out of my comfort zone, but the dude is a compelling player.
    Proudly playing:
    Doc Sweeney Drums
    A bunch of snares
    A bunch of cymbals

    Off-Set double pedals

I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!
