    Brief Summary:Aynsley Thomas Dunbar (born January 10th 1946) is an English drummer. He has worked with some of the biggest names in rock, including Eric Burdon, John Mayall, Frank Zappa, Ian Hunter, Lou Reed, Jefferson Starship, Jeff Beck, David Bowie, Whitesnake, Sammy Hagar, Michael Schenker, UFO, and Journey.
    Other Facts:Aynsley Dunbar is ranked by Rolling Stone as the twenty-seventh greatest drummer of all time. Aynsley Dunbar auditioned for The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Hendrix had difficulty deciding between Dunbar and Mitch Mitchell - the latter won Hendrix's coin flip.

    It was great to see him a few years ago touring with Eric Burdon (also Dave Meros from Spock's Beard on bass). Had a nice chat after the show and he autographed all my Retaliation cds!

    Man that Modern Times record brings back memories. Still have it on vinyl. Always liked the sound of the drums on that record kind of like a hollow sound like he was in a big room with not much sound proofing

    I went to the same high school "La Sierra" as guitarist Craig Chaquico. It closed in 1983 after my junior year.
