    Default LP Black Beauty

    Any of you jazz drummers out there use the LP204A Black Beauty Cowbell? If so, does it sound good in jazz? I was considering doing a Stanton Moore and mounting it on a gajate pedal.

    I think this bell would be too sharp and bright for jazz, though with a foot pedal or a little dampening it might work. I would go with at least the "Senior" version of this if not something lower like the Mambo Bell. If you want something that high, use the Deluxe Black Beauty as it's more mellow sounding.

    Lol. I think he means its rare because its old. But its "new" because its still in its original packaging, unused. So its "new" in the sense its never been used, but "old" since it was built some time ago.
