What is that? is it in Arabic. Just wondering.
I've been wanting to do this for years, and finally did on Saturday night! I think it looks badass, and knowing you'll appreciate it, I wanted to share:

Here's a hint, it's in Ottoman Turkish.
Looks like we have another Zildjian fan there.
Enjoy the Music!

I was going to say it looks like the Zildjian logo but wasn't sure so is it?
Ding Ding! Yes it says Zildjian.
Thanks! My 22" ride was my first ever cymbal, and it started a love affair. The Zildjian word in Arabic comes from part of their stamp: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c4..._logo_wall.jpg
Thought it was a different and unique way to show my love for them as well as drumming without having the typical drum or logo tattoos I've seen.
I think it actually reads, in Arabic, Hummus, Pita Bread and Baba Ghanoush.
Just kidding, SA. Nice tat!
Possibly- the particulars of the stamps from certain eras can help you identify when it was done, but it may not narrow things down a whole lot for you: http://www.hidehitters.com/cymbals/Z.../timeline.html

Careful, tattoos are like cymbals...once you start you can't stop collecting them!

Very nice tat man!! Really original idea behind the design. It will definitely have people who don't know what it is asking and those that do will really like it (like me).
I'm a die hard Zildjian fan. Been using them for years and my dad used them for years. I have really nice old Zildjians and some more modern ones. Simply the best cymbal on the market, hands down. How can you argue with or improve on the design, sound and variety of a company that is more recognized in the drumming/music industry than any other brand ofpercussion/drum gear and how can you beat or argue with over 400 years of experience?
Yes, Zilgjians can be dated by era but not specifically by year. Different eras have slightly different stamp patterns but there were no serial numbers until recent years. You can go on the internet and find the stamps and approximate era (30's 40's 50's, etc.)
Anyway, very nice tattoo brother.
Once you get one the addiction starts. I started with just one and now I have 4 and plan on getting another (something related to drums). They are in areas that can be covered by clothes when I need to look "presentable." haha... Personally I don't like exposed tattoos. I'm still a little conservative I guess.

Not sure if I would do it today, but I would have liked to put a tat of a conga drum on one of my upper arms back in my 30's...of course I'd have to wear tank tops to pull that off! (See av picture and imagine it on my left arm)
Then again, ya never know!
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!
