Yeah I do that sometimes, going for a 10/14/16 set up. It allows me to move the snare drum a little forward when using a 10" tom, in comparison to a 12" rack tom.

    Alright,

Here's an update on making my kit massive. Check out these pics of my new double kick drum setup for my Black DWs. I included a couple of pics of the pedal setup for each side because I'm using two double pedals.

    Here's the rundown:

    Left Kick:
16x24 with lefty Iron Cobra Pedal
    Right Kick:
18x22 with Righty Pearl Demon Drive
    Toms:
    7x8
    10x12
    11x13
    14x14
    16x16

I'll have to pull these things out of my tiny room to get proper photos at some point.

The only two constants I have are DW and Zildjian.

Cool setup Nechre! I see a hi-hat pedal, a left bass single pedal, and a double pedal on the right-hand bass!

Very nice! Out of curiosity, how often do you use your jam block?

I had a friend offer me like 6 of them for a really good price, but I see no use for them Am I really to the point to where I'm going to buy flashy stuff and stick it on my kit for looks?

    Really cool setup, Nechre.

I'm wondering, do you play your hi-hat open handed (i.e. with your left hand). My personal setup is with the hi-hat very close to the snare so wonder how comfortable the hats are placed further out to the left. Having said that, I don't use any double pedals let alone two basses and two double pedals!!

You're right! I totally missed that the Iron Cobra was a double too. Time to get my eyes checked.

No, I'm dominant right handed, so I play traditionally on the hi hats. I have a different setup where I use a set of cable hi hats in the center above the toms ( which I admit is very comfortable). The hats look very far away, but theyre actually comfortable to play (I also use longer sticks than most, the SDC sticks are 16.5 in where as most others are at 16)

I actually don't use my Jam Block at all, lol. It's one of those combination jam block guiro things. It's just there to look cool, lol (I could add way more stuff ).

That is very close to the serial numbers on my 2 blue Vistalite kits. (both are missing the snare drums) I would have to double check my numbers when I get home, but if they are as close as I think they are, I would be VERY interested in finding out what it would take to get that from you.

Keep posting! I love seeing pics of your kit.

I've been pretty lax on the picture posting lately. Haven't done anything different or new with the kit.

Nice collection you have started there Zeta. Before my snare reduction in force I was sporting an Acro and Kabuto steel too.

Is that thing hanging down on the TV a Wii sensor?

Yeah the Acro was beat to hell when I got it. Still has dents, but I don't know how to repair that myself but sanding, polished and the whole setup to it and it sounds good.. Kabuto I got awhile back and just can't give it up ever lol.

Haha, yeah. I slides down the tv when I play my kit.

    A 28" sub-kick would compliment that nicely.
