Wrap finish, which I'm actually fine with since I can worry a little less at gigs about them getting dinged.
It's definitely a different style of finish than I've had before and a big contrast from my white Tamas, but I like it.

BE COUNTED!
Bought this Yamaha set back in March 2008 loving it to this day.
I'm really into Danny Carey's drumming so I had to buy his signature snare.
A friend and I have been messing around with a hip-hop/rap project... It's something we're going to do just for fun while at school, the kind of "Alter-ego" thing where we will act like total different people and just be really weird and... yeah.. haha. Suffice to say I'm stoked!
Here is the setup I think I've decided to use. It's really unique with just the hats and china, but it really forces me to stay super-simple and direct my thinking on interesting grooves. The china also just provides some cool sounds as it is tight enough that I can play hi-hat-esque rhythms if I play with the tip of the stick and if I use the shoulder I can "crash" it. Really fun setup! I love being able to break away from the usual.

Thanks areFish!
@pastor No actually, they are holding my base drum in place unfortunately the carpet is astroturf and under that is pavement so it can't really grind into it easy, so we ended up finding three bird shot bags which are 25 pounds a piece to hold it steady. I am however looking for recommendations. The room is my garage so haha, I am used to it though been playing in there for 13 years now. And no birds can't enter the music room :P
I do love my set but someone day I would love to try Sonor set I believe they're in the same price range as a 5 piece Yamaha set. (Birch)

Great looking kits everyone.
It will be!
I realized that doing fun little things like this work great for areas like Hip-hop/rap where playing the same thing over and over is more okay because people are used to computerized-beats so having much less is just fine, but I would never be able to use a setup like this at church or with my two bands. Getting creative while be useful in lots of situations is the difficult part!

All these white drums are starting to give me GAS. I've always wanted Lars Ulrich's white TAMA kit from the Black Album tour.

Thank you.
UFIP were and remain, a total cymbal revelation to me.
My brand of choice was Sabian. Then one of the shows I was working on, dictated I had to use Paiste Signatures and as you will know, both brands are stunning. However, when I found UFIP, it moved my view on cymbals in to a whole new game in a different league.
I know I won't be popular with some for saying this, but play any quality cymbal and it will naturally sound great. Play it side by side to a UFIP and you will understand what I am about to say.
Due to their unique manufacturing process (roto-casting,) which removes impurities and shapes the cymbal without hammering, the sound quality and tonal range of the UFIPs making even many of my most treasured other brand cymbals sound like entry level products. Church bells are made this way, that should tell you something!
Strong words, but just go and try them back to back with your current cymbals and you will see what I mean.
The 14" Bionic hi-hats, 22" Bionic ride and the 19" Blast Crash that I have, will sit in any kit I play as they are as if UFIP made them for me! Total perfection in sound and feel.
I'm still looking for the final cymbal in my 'ultimate four', but I am sure UFIP will also provide that as I get to try more.
I'm arranging a group trip to the factory in Italy next year if anyone here is interested?

Great kit Cuban. I have heard very good things about UFIP and the rotocasting.
I picked up a 16" blue Vistalite concert tom on ebay to go with my Yamaha MCAN sea blue kit. I think it matches well enough visually. The sound is a bit different (material/no bottom head) but it definitely fits. I'll take some better pics as soon as I get a chance to take the kit outside of my house to set it up.
