Hey there Kent! Really nice finish. Different for a Tama white.

But, it seems that you didn't ID one of your crashes, or I can't count. Totally possible, it's late here in CA.

What's that Wuhan Ozone sound like? Trashy trashy or musical? Never heard one yet. Looks freakin cool either way. Bill Bruford used a garbage can lid on King Crimson "Red" album to fabulous effect, so, anything can sound musical if you put it in the right place, I guess.

    Welcome to the Chat!
    Proudly playing:
    Doc Sweeney Drums
    A bunch of snares
    A bunch of cymbals

    Off-Set double pedals

I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!

Hey GaryR, kent50, drumk, DonnieL........Welcome to Drum Chat!!

Kent, that finish reminds me of one I had on a Slingerland kit in the 70's. Very cool!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

    Johnny

You are correct, I did miss one. lol The other crash is an A Custom 17" Projection. As you probably already know Wuhan doesn't make an Ozone. So I took DWDrummers lead and made my own. I like the sound now as it took some of the gongishness (is that even a word!) out of the cymbal. Sounds more trashy now.

Welcome to Drum Chat Jordypants, or should that be Jordyshorts?!!

Nice looking kit Jordy! What's the make? It looks like something ddrum would make, with the white hardware, but I don't recognise the badge. Looks real sharp!

    BTW, sorry the show bombed!

I finally got my Gretsch Catalina Club Jazz in shape for some good pictures. Apparently, this is a limited edition finish with only 140 units produced. I got it new for $429. Regular is $650. I would have went with the natural satin finish, but this deal was too good to pass up.

I took a bunch of pics for a full review I plan on writing. The album is here:

Thanks everyone. So far I'm loving the Cat Club. I was hoping to gig out with it tonight, but the place I'm playing is a bit too big, so I'm taking my Beech Customs. Next weekend I'll get it out of the house and have a better idea of what it can do. I hope to get to a full review soon.

ratmycue - the K Custom is a very sweet ride. Slightly pingy at low volumes, but as time goes by I hope it will mellow out a bit. The bell is heavenly. It's one I plan on keeping for the duration.

I forgot to mention what an excellent wrap color that set has. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Also there are some bizzare but really striking reflections from the wrap on the bottom of your ride on that second photo.
