areFish, The pic is beautiful! I can't tell...is your snare's finish like a "black chrome" or darkish polished finish, or straight chrome or polished whatever reflecting the dark finish of the rest of the kit? Either way...very sweet!

Nice setup MD. Is that a closed hat on the right, or just a smaller crash?

"show us your snares" informs me arefish's snare is black nickel over brass. Surely it's farther back in this thread as well. Forgive me all.
Matt, your set looks great and short of space restrictions I'd have a hard time not using the whole thing all the time!

I forgot to post pics of my latest in the thread. My apologies. Here she is....1989 Pearl Custom Z. This thing sounds huge, and it'll go great with my rock cover band.

I'm interested in buying other Custom Z drums. I know they're tough to come by, so if anyone has a lead or sees some for sale, please let me know.

Pearl Sensitone Elite aluminium? 6.5 x 14 or 5.5 Matt? I have the 6.5 and has become my main snare, it's a great, really versatile drum. The rest of the kit is pretty snazzy too, I love the finish.

Thanks for the kind words everybody.

The finish is called Sterling sparkle. The filtering on the photo does give it a gold-ish tinge. In real life it's like taking silver glass glitter and turning the glitter level up one more notch.

Yes, that is a 6.5 Aluminum Sensitone and one of my all time favorite snares. The other is a 10 ply walnut that I built.

Nighthawk - gorgeous CZX kit. I always wanted one of those. For me, that really was Pearl's best period. CZX, BLX, and MLX are just incredible sounding kits.

If the only way to post pics is to downsize and upload to photobucket, then this site is just as lame as the other drum forums---the guitar guys figured it out---I guess drummers really are as stupid as I have heard! and what is up with the stupid smilies---anybody here over 10 years old????

Without wishing to get into any kind of fight with you I can't see what the problem is? I can upload photos to my profile without any problem and use the handy URL provided to embed the image in my post. I've never had to resize them to achieve that. Simples.

Perhaps you have to be a drummer to get it.

I'm guessing you're not going to want to stick around here much are you? Much more of this and the mods will be at you, and not without good reason.

    P.S.
