Hey all. This here is my first kit. I just bought it last weekend off of Craigslist. It came with everything and I figured I was just about ready for one after a month of lessons so far.

It's a Pearl Export series, a 1994 or 95 model according to someone else posting an identical set on the Pearl forum. The cymbals are Paiste 502 and some mystery Crusader 22" ride. I'm loving it so far, it's a blast to play. The snare needs a new head for sure. Here are the pics.

Congrats on the new kit Scottify! There's nothing quite like the very first kit.

This is a great first kit Scott, congratulations on the pickup. I'm guessing from the looks of things, that those rack toms are a 12x10, and a 13x11. Looks to be a sort of blue finish that has whitened a bit over the years, possibly from sun exposure or being left in certain environments. It's supposed to be a tiny bit darker, but the mounting system seems accurate for that time period as other 95's had thru-shell mounts. However, some upper level lines did too so check out the badges real close to be certain. A lot of drummers got their start with an Export, I think you're going to have some great times. It even matches your walls pretty well too, so style points there. Welcome and enjoy the world of drumming!

BFD, that's a cool shot. It really shows off the natural wood hoops on that bass.

Nice kit BFD! Those hoops really add some flavor to the rest and give it major style.

Our new band, Damascus Road, played out for the first time tonight. We played 8 songs (1 original, 7 covers) at a local church who has guest bands play at their Saturday evening service.

Here's the set up I have been useing a lot this past month. Added a cymbal mount to a Ludwig Atlas Base and Ludwig double tom holder to cut out a cymbal and tom stand.
    I can go with either 10" & 12" or just the 12". Then a 16"x16" floor tom. 14"x22" kick. 3"x13" snare.

Yeah, I remember quite a while back a kit in that similar finish was on sale via Gumtree locally over here. First one I thought of was yours!

Hold onto that one if it's a Canadian rarity mate!
