Hey All, fairly new here but I thought I would share here as well.

Man I've spent quite some time gawking at all your kits! Awesome!

Here's mine, just got it the other day, replacing my stage custom advantage.

    Sonor Force 3007
    Finish: Autumn Fade
    Toms: 10, 12, 14 (hope to come across a 16" eventually)
    Kick: 20
Snare: Mapex Black Panther Steel snare
    Pedal: Tama Speed Cobra

    Cymbals: All Paiste Twentys
    20" Ride
    20" Light Ride
    18" Thin Crash
    16" Reg crash
10" Splash (I use this with the 16" to make a stacker ala Mike Johnston )
    13" Hats.

    Skins:
Kick: Aquarian Super Kick II batter, Aquarian Regulator Reso (ported)
Toms: Coated Aquarian Super 2, Classic Clears on the reso
Snare: Evans Genera, though I'm looking to replace this head soon. I used an Evans ST Dry and liked that quite a bit.

Thanks for looking! It's funny how much response I'm getting for the set up. It's very comfortable for me since I like my toms almost flat with a slight angle.
I fiddled with my set up for quite some time and typically use a 1 up 1 down set up. If I were to go 2 up 1 down I would have the toms off the kick and off to the left a bit with the ride over the bass drum where the 12" Tom is right now. Problem was getting over to the 14" tom, I can do it quick enough but I wanted to put less strain and effort. So I tried the toms back on the kick, tried this config and I must say I'm really feel comfy now!

Set up my kit in my father inlaws basement last night, so he could practice on it and use it for a show he's filling in for next weekend. He likes a 5 piece, so I threw in my 10" dios tom to complete the set. Anyway thought my fellow drum nerds would enjoy the pic! Lol

OK Yamaha Recording Custom 9000, all Piano Black, the left hand 'tower' is all PRE-YESS so they are a mix of RA's 26/18/8/6 and RC 13/16 ( RA's are the rarer original black bearing edge model ) Sizes from the bottom 26x14 18x16 16x16 13x9 8x6 6x6. The Right hand stack is all YESS RC/RF 24x16 18x16 16x14 15x13 14x12 13x10 12x9 10x8 and an 8x8 not shown. The Snares are 14x8 and 14x7 to match.

All beautiful, all sound amazing and DO get better with age, had them for 10 years plus now.

I usually gig/record with 24 16 14 10 but have moments when I use the 26, oddly enough this one seems to fill the room with sound, but is not the easiest to record, although I do insist on keeping both heads on for tone and warmth of sound, think massive, open, 'classic' rather than tight focused clicky !

The drums sound best ( I recon ) with Pinstripes on the toms batters and ambassadors on the resonant side, although I have tried emporers and they work well also, however the drums DO seem suited to Remo heads in general, experiments with other brands have not been great.

Wow, that's a lot of toms. You sure know your kit well. You should try and set it all up at the same time, just for kicks :P take a picture too, it would probably go all the way around you :P

Doesn't look like there are any claws on the bass drum hoop. Interesting.

And really beautiful kit, I love it!

My guess is that the seam is the seam of the outer ply for that amazing wood grain look.
