Here are my new Ludwig Vistalies I ordered in spring.
I always wanted a see-thru blue kit, with a big bass drum.
sizes are 16"x24" 16"x16" 9"x14" 8"x12 and matching
5"1/2 snare.
The sound out of these things is amazing, Ludwig's quality has gone up a few notches, since I first ssaw these back in the '70s. But these are 2009 issue, for Ludwigs
100 anniversary.

The kick has more meat to it (possibly a result of the heads), the toms have more thump and low end. All around I'm happier with it. Plus having 10/12 rack toms feels far more comfortable than 12/13 squares.
