Thank you IANAT! I like what you've done with your kit too.

Hey Xsabers, thanks! I really liked the sound of my kick when nothing was mounted to it. Had to remove that custom cover plate too. I feel more in command with this set-up though. It's what I cut my teeth on. I like those G plus heads too.

Thanks Kazaamski. Yea I'm a Yamaha fan. That snare is the 13 x 6.5 version. The birch snare that matches my kit has been very neglected.

Thanks Late. Trying to keep it simple. I'm already thinking I now have room to ad a 16" & 8". Is that how it starts?

You'll love it. It's so great having the toms right above the snare. Much more comfortable playing.

The only reservation I have is that I keep my little ZilBel to the right of the HH, right where the small tom would be. So I'd have to find a new home for the Zil Bel.

For those of you who may have read through my neurotic postings about wanting to size down my kit, well, I made it happen today. I sold my Catalina Maples and purchased a new Sonor Force 2007 birch. It was basically an even swap, with the exception of a couple of accessories I purchased.

    sizes

    17.5 x 20 kick
    8 x 10 tom
    9 x 12 tom
    14 x 14 floor

I love having the toms lower and tighter in together. Now I just have to work on getting them singing to me... hopefully that wont take too long

Oh... it DID happen... (sorry for the poor quality of my phone camera)

Here's my final setup after all this. For those of you who didn't know, my MP splash cracked from being piggybacked. So after many phone calls to GC and a 40 minute drive, I now have a 10" HHX Evolution splash and a 6" cymbal stacker. Here's the pics of it.

    Cymbals
14" AA Fusion Hats | 8" Max Splash | 10" HHX Evolution Splash | 16" AA Bright Crash | 21" AA Raw Bell Dry Ride | 18" APX Crash | 14" Wuhan China

I love 'em. I had the high tom set on a cymbal stand base and the mid tom on the kick up until I got a clamp the other day. Works a lot better with the clamp now that I have them on the same level and angle.

Hi everyone! New member here. Not sure why it took so long to find this place, but better late than never!

Here are few pics of my Premier Genista kit. I bought this kit back in 94' and she still looks like the day I picked it up at Ray Fransen's Drum Center in New Orleans. I have two kicks for this kit, but don't have any pics handy of it set up that way. I'll try to find some pics from when I use to play both kicks.

    Premier Genista kit - (2) 16"x22" kicks, 8", 10", 12", 16", 18", 5" Brass piccolo - assortment of Sabian AA, AAX & HandHammered cymbals - Gibraltor rack - DW 5000 & 7000 pedals - DW 5000 cable hi-hat
