I didn't notice that before. It's only in the center non-lathed area. Cool.

PastorBob - the snare sounds as good as it looks. I'm going to try a Fiberskin head on it today to see what I can get out of it, but the G1 coated was a great choice for a stock head.

OK so my set is nowhere near as good looking as ShaneRoney's, but I finally got some pics so I figured I should put them up.

I took a bunch of pics for a full review I plan on writing. The album is here:

I've had a slight move around in my set up so I took some pictures and decided I should upload. I've moved my Splash around from in between the two primary crashes to near the Hi Hats, this was actually because of space and I couldn't hit the splash without hitting the crash, but now I've moved it I actually prefer it there.

Thanks lol the one uptop I keep the snare turned off most times and it sounds really cool, almost like another tom but with a different ring to it.
The turtles my dad had custom made for me the year I got the set, and I got a stack of turtle vinyl stickers just like that. They are everywhere
And yes, I love my Iron Cobras.

TheRocker, how do you like that snare head? I have played on it a few times at festivals and the like and loved it but never really had any long term experience with it.

I love it personally, the snare isn't actually the stock snare a friend gave it to me and it's maple which gives it a nice warm tone, but the heads great a nice warm crack. Unlike other heads I've used it seems very reliable too, usually coated heads become full of stick marks, I've had this head for a while now and haven't seen a mark.

Thumbs up Re: Show Us Your Drums!

    HI Drum folks,

I recently aquired this set from my drummer that plays jazz with me. I needed to purchase a drum kit and he suggested purchasing one of his 3 Rogers kits. I had been looking a cheap Ludwig Accent set, but for a mere $800.00 dollars I got this kit. My cymbal complement is:

    20" Zildjian vintage ride
    13" " quick beat hi-hats
    16" " medium/thin crash A series
16" " " (this one is coming to have 2 crashes)
18" " vintage crash/ride (a little bit heavy, not thin?)

hopefully the pics will load up.....

    thanks - Donnie L.
