Here are some pics of my visions I took at a rehearsal a little while back. I won them in a magazine competition and had them signed and handed to me by the drummer from The Living End. Not bad for free.

Been a while since I posted my Gretsch...

I just layed a carpet in the basement to help get some softer surfuces in the room to help control the acoustics....

    That's a Remo Acousticon 8x14 snare. It's a cool drum.

It's not really part of the kit but it's just kinda there. It looks closer in the pic than it really is.

Hey Ev, I always felt the same way, but the drums are in a little alcove of my basement. I had them facing out but the sound back in the drivers' seat was insane with all of the bouncing around. I turned the kit 90* and the difference is enormous.

I guess I'll need to get a poster or something to look at. LOL!

Thanks Jeff. Having owned 2 wrapped kits and one acrylic for 20 years I was determined to get a finish that I could see the wood. When I saw the fade online, I was left unimpressed. The photography Gretsch uses for P.R. materials is crummy. Their frums are so beautiful that the pictures simply do not do them justice.

Lesizmore had pictures of his kit in this finish and I darn near died. I had to have it.

Thanks for looking. I sold the Remo kit to make room for the Gretsch, but I kept the snare.

iplaysaluda, that's a cool set up.

HC, it doesn't get much better than free, and I always love the shots where you can see us standing on our thrones - risking life and limb - to get that overhead shot!

CycleDude, I never get tired of seeing that finish!

Very nice CD!!! That finish will always be a fave for the Catalina maple..although the deep amber and now the ebony is closing in! What snare drum is that?
