Looking good Chiko! The cymbals look like they're almost floating above the kit.

I am guessing you are hitting your cymbals with those new Louisville slugger sticks?
I think the they're called cast iron.
DamnDrummer - Are you a Gorrilla? I can't seem to smash my cymbals like that! :P How old were they?
Hahaha! The meinl is about 8 months give or take a few, and the A is about a year im guessing.
My friends dad is making me "unbreakable" sticks I dont think i wanna use them until I get new cymbals. He needs to be working on unbreakable cymbals. Also im doing a show with those babys tomorrow the crack on the meinl is about half way through the MCS sign haha

I only hit hard on my snare, toms, kick and crashes (not hihats, china, splash or ride).

I like the 2002 over Alpha combo a lot more than high end hats I've played (A Customs, K Customs, AAX).

$400 to reskin your whole kit? I got a pack of Remo heads for 80 a few months ago. Came with everything; toms, bass and a "free" snare head (who knows if it's really free or not). They usually go for 90, but I traded something in and got moon gels too, so it saved me a few bucks. What heads do you want to get that cost that much?

I have yet to settle in on a configuration that lasts longer than about 2 or 3 weeks. If I spent all the time practicing that I do tweaking my kit, I might actually get good.

Thank you. The drums actually were not that pricey. It's a mid range kit, high end sound. IMHO of course!

Every time I see this kit, I love it even more. So clean. Even the single braced stands add to the sleek look. Looks fun to play.

    This is my baby.

Yamaha Rydeen in red with 13x7 vented Pork Pie Little Squealer. All Zildjian cymbals, 18" China high, 19" and 17" Z custom rock crashes, A custom sweet ride and 14" A custom hats. Currently the kit has a kickport and a large duct tape logo on the bass head and the tom mounting system on the 12" and the kick has been removed.

Ah, you see, I live in New Zealand where we use NZD, and drum equipment is overpriced :P

I'm talking about G2's over G1's for the toms, Powerstroke 3 and an EMAD reso for the bass drum heads, Power Center Reverse Dot over a Hazy 300 for the snare. The bass drum heads alone are $100 NZD each.

    $400 NZD - $265 USD btw
