    The traditional "fusion" configuration:[IMG][/IMG]

A new experimental config. in an effort to offset the toms and move the ride lower and closer to spare my aging shoulder. This config. will soon be abandon due to awkwardness and weird looks. The 8" will move over nestled by the 10" and hats resulting in an overall "ess" flow of toms (somewhat Peart-ish) and allowing the crash cymbals to switch positions with the tom on the double tom stand going[IMG][/IMG] more to the middle for a better flow there as well.

I like the traditional better myself. Or else I'd also do as I do an I put 2 up 2 down on the left and use the third on my left. I see you have another snare over there or something.

I hear you Shoeth. That weird rack set up was an experiment that I'm soon to abandon. I'm gonna try the 8" in the traditional spot but with the racks offset the 8' will be raised a bit from the 10" to clear the hats. There will be new pics when I get around to it.
I was playing with some guys in eastern NY for a year or so and played the kit mostly 1 up & 2 down and became totally addicted to the low and close ride and am still trying to reconcile the 3 up with the offset/low close ride configuration. I could just leave the 8" out but man I love that drum as a fill lead in/starting point or just a great little pop.
The drum outside the hats is indeed a Pearl popcorn side snare.

Yeah I've just gone from 2 up 2 down with offset toms to my current set up so its a bit more compact. I love having the ride over the kick its a lot better. I wouldn't know what to do with 3 rack toms I'd get a little spoilt for choice with my fills

Wow!! Those Tamburo are gorgeous. But, what do you mean by Zebrawood/Maple/Birch? Are the shells hybrid plies with Zebra on the inside and outside?
    Proudly playing:
    Doc Sweeney Drums
    A bunch of snares
    A bunch of cymbals

    Off-Set double pedals

I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!

    Hi guys,

Tamburo is very famous in Europe. The Opera serie is 100% handmade.
This is the Europeran response of DW in the US

The shell is made with Maple US, Reinforcement Birch of Finland and an epoxy bearing edge, this is a Stave Multislayer process (patented).
7 ply Maple Shell with a Zebrawood finish ply outside / inside. The shell is lacquered with a special room process.
This is my favorite drumset, sounds better than any other set I played (Tama, Odery, DW, Premier and Pearl).

    Demo (Glynn Method) :
Audix + Ribbon Overheads + Cad D189 on snare
