The kick sounds great, SGD. I hear ya about the snare. It's a bit dry, but it's a great recording quality.

Yeah I do haha. They are only about 200 dollars in japan but I got mine for 170(I think that's like 130 euros). I was planning on getting the old elims at first but the demon drive was only 30 dollars more so that's why I got it.

I don't know how expensive they are in england but in the U.S. they are like $300 and I don't think it's worth getting. The demon drive is super smooth and everything but yeah...too pricey elsewhere.

Hey thanks a bunch! Yeah come on over and give 'em a bang! Heh!

    Cuban-
I don't have a bird's eye...my ceiling is too low to get the whole kit in one pic, but I'll see if there's something I can do about that very soon! Those extensions are made by Gibraltar and fit any 8mm thread. Not expensive either like the ones made by DW, although DW's are better quality.

    Kaosotis-
I was really up in the air as to what finish to order at first, the Cordias weren't out yet. Luckily I waited and when the Cordias came out, it was a no brainer!

    Russ-
Thanks man! I do call it my "dream kit"!

UPS delivered me a new Yamaha Oak Custom kit this past Wednesday and after changing heads and doing some major tuning I put them on the bandstand this past Thursday night and gentlemen; they live up to their reputation as the sound is just absolutely marvelous and they look fabulous. Im going to try and post the pics...not sure how thats going to turn out though.
If they show up...the first one is me just fine tuning up the kit ( I work in a white shirt, black slacks). The last one is of my Pearl Free Floating Copper shell snare...sonically, it fits right in with the Oaks.

    Thanks for the info.
Several driver seat shots would be great to see if a bird's eye is out.

Nice kit! I picked up a 6 piece Pearl Prestige Session Select (A notch below the masters custom) last November. They're also emerald mist. Here's a couple pics. I'd like to move up to a masters someday. However, I'm very pleased with what I got now! Again, sweet kit! You have to post more pics when you have the cymbals in place.

Okay, here are most of my new Gretsch Renowns in Autumn Burst. I traded my blue Tour Customs for these, straight up. I didn't swap the FT yet, and I'll be picking up the kick tomorrow.

Here's an odd pic of the mix of two finishes on the Renowns, my bro's Slate Silver Sparkle and my new babies.

I'll get some updated pics up tomorrow with the full Autumn Burst set. These are going to be at my house and gig. My bro's Slate Sliver Sparkle with be at practice.
