Nice veafer. I like having the ride nice an low over the bass too. It's easy to get used to moving a few toms to the left... once you get used to the space in the cross-over between the last rack and first floor you're rocking. Man, for a 6 piece, your entire kit takes up a small footprint. Like it.

Veafer, don't fret. it is not easy. pull that first floor tom in next to the bass drum to your right knee. as you would play one floor tom. drum.. then angle as adjusted. go out right. With the second flor tom. Right and away. Dont put it behind you. Make sure you can hit that 2nd tom wiith right hand. Without turning your body much.

Thanks gentlemen. The finish does seem to change in various lighting applications.

Thanks! I don't travel with a rug. Nope, none of that stuff is mine in the back. Other band's stuff.

I know I've said it tons before but really like those starclassics Marko. What's the exact name of the finish. Might have to get on the prowl for a set! I did, however, get a lot of compliments on the red silk superstars.

I love the red silk Superstars! Had a kit in that finish in the local shop. Really pops in person.
    Proudly playing:
    Doc Sweeney Drums
    A bunch of snares
    A bunch of cymbals

    Off-Set double pedals

I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!

Thanks. It's called charcoal silk (wrap). I love that kit. Sounds great live. The sustain from the 14x11 tom is unreal.

Nice looking setup auragon. With that Roc N Soc throne, I'm sure you're playing in total comfort. Just out of curiosity, where are you set up in that pic?

    Nice!

Interesting way of mounting your rack tom. I may tinker with that idea someday.

It's my high school's annual talent show (31 years) where I graduated in 2009, I come back for the event and play for the acts, and yes I do play in comfort lol!

I'm lurking around arefish just seeing other peoples kits hehe thanks, I was tempted to put my other tom on but i'm really OCD where my ride is, but if I were to put it there I do the Danny Carey thing where I have my ride like in the air seen here:

EDIT: Whoa sorry for the huge picture!

My Catalina Maple ebony lacquer kit did the exact same thing. When sunlit, they were definitely black, but under incandescent stage lighting, they went purplish. It wasn't as pronounced in person, but the pictures were really different.

    Sweet DWs btw.
