Definitely understood princesite. I have an ancient Ludwig Hollywood kit (1974), and I am in the market to finally get a new kit this year sometime. Hard to find the cash these days for anything expensive. I guess since this thread is for showing your kit... then here it is. The original floor tom split its seam and broke, which for a cortex kit, is probably gonna happen to big drums at some point. I replaced it with a CB700 a long time ago.

I would! If you sell one day, that will make it much more valuable. I'll definitely be ooking for a matching Powertone one day.

I felt the same way as you until I found this kit. If you look at modern blue onyx finishes, they seem so two-dimensional. The Rogers seems to have different layers and a perfect amount of imperfections to keep it from being just another wrap. I still really want a wood finish kit, but I have a new appreciation for wraps!

Thanks! I use a Lumix point and shoot for it all, definitely worth having a good camera! (: Glad ya like, Bish!

Never saw that coming! Hahaha. I'll look into your idea on the reso, it definitely needs a bit of revitalizing! (Get it? Because it's a dead tree? HAHA.)

Not too bad for a 40 year old kit; just finished tearing them down to the wrap, doing all I could, and reassembling.

Digital, that kit is sweet. Nice job on it. Are those 22x20 kicks? I see that tom in the back-right of the pic. Is that an 8" you just don't want on there now? The white just looks killer on a kit like that.

My rap band "Fake Logo" has been working on a new song that we are going to release, so I shot a few pics of the setup I used. After using it for a couple hours, I'm really starting to dig this setup. I do slightly miss the top tom, but on the other hand I am really digging how little I find myself thinking about fills and stuff. I don't think this will become my standard setup, but I do see myself using it much more often!

-Ludwig 65' Super Classic 5x14 snare
