btw, I am not playing drums in this, Im actually playing bass, but I did all the recording, mixing, and mastering. I am reaaally new to that sort of stuff so, any feedback on the quality of the song would be awesome.

Nice job! I liked the guitar solo! Vocals were pretty good, sounds like the singer has good chops, just thought he could up the energy some, so I didn't really "feel" the lyrics. I thought it needed more low end too. Couldn't really hear the kick or the bass very well... but could have been my computer.

I'm still learning how to mix down songs as well so... this is just how I heard it.
I would send a note to late8 in here, he seems pretty dialed on this stuff.

Good job tho, bro! Cool song!

thanks man! I mixed the sound with audio technica ath-m50s, which are pretty generous when it comes to bass, So I probably tried to make up for it in the mix by turning down kick and bass volumes. So I guess that makes sense. I need to get some flat monitoring, but I just spent all my money on mics and an interface :p

What are you listening to when mixing? We were just going off computer speakers... ya, ya I know fellas what am I thinking with that... but it would sound OK and then when we played it back thru a sound system it sounded waaaaay off. Again, rookie mixer here. But going to better headphones helped a lot, could hear hi's and lows better. Still upgrading equipment so makin it up as I go along.

I'm waiting for the boys to start chiming in here, this is a good topic and would love to hear their input!

Probably a "sticky" on it somewhere...
