    Default High hat cymbal

I am looking for an electronic high hat cymbal that will mount to my high hat stand. And plays off my foot movement. I can’t afford a top of the line one. And I have no dreams of making it out of the basement. I just want one that will last and cost around $150. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Brad

    Greetings.
    Just joined.
I have just sold my slendid yamaha kit and now looking to get a roland.
I had the yamaha rhh135 hi hat.
I had to have it, I wanted it so bad.
It was so-so, a bit sad and floppy really.
It didn't live up to my expectations.
I wouldn't recommend it as the experience was slighlty less fun than a normal boring old pad.
Best advice is try before you buy.
I havn't tried the Roland one yet so can't comment but if you want a electronic hat that plays and feels like the real thing the Yamaha RHH135 is not your man.
    hope that helps.

Vh 13 is an awesome innovation (roland) but its $500. The 12 may be more affordable?

I have the Yamaha RHH135 and I think it's pretty decent compared to playing a pad. I've read in numerous places that the VH's don't trigger as well as the Yamaha, but I don't have any experience with them. I have just a straight hihat pad on the TD9 I have and to be honest it's completely fine.

You get over the "not a real hi hat stand" thing pretty quickly IMHO.
