KEYTAR!
Im swedish so i have a soft spot for the acordion.
dude the keytar is awesome.
just listen to dragonforce. their keyboardist plays a keytar.
and besides the accordion is way geekier, ex: Weird Al Yankovic.
Ostinato is the way to go!
Dude, this is like asking which is the better poison: Arsenic or cyanide?
For my part, the accordion may be geeky but at least it sounds more romantic than the keytar!
Besides...didn't they use to promote accordions (particularly to young ladies) as a great way to build up one's...uhhh...figure...?
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!

Incidentally, our church had an "Italian Fest" today featuring, you guessed it, Italian food, desserts, wines, etc....and entertainment from an accordionist who had his accordion wired into a keyboard...it actually fit the format, even though one of the tunes they played was that Italian favorite, "Besame Mucho..." which, as I recall, is a Latin tune...oh well, maybe a little nit-picky, but it still fit...sounded cool...
Just try doin' the same with a keytar!

From where I come from the Accordian player is revered, due to the fact that they have the cabability to play complex traditional Irish music after consuming more than their fair share of alcohol.
The keytar on the other really just represents a keyboard player who wants to pose and jump about, like a guitar player. It would be like a drummer sling a drum machine around his neck and dancin around the place. not cool.
