Default Help with Six Stroke Rolls?

I see videos online all the time about this rudiment and they all do the same thing. They show me how to play it really fast and don't give any tips on how to build this skill. Can anyone show me something to help me build my six stroke rolls?

The only way to build this and any other rudimentary skill- slow practice. I hate it, but it's the ONLY way - play it slow, build up your speed to the best bpm you can sustain while keeping it consistent, and practice that repetitively! Incrementally build your speed with it over time.

I'm close to 25 years into my rudiments, and hardly have mastered anything imho. :(

Thanks! That helps a little bit. But no matter how i do it, when i get my double strokes fast enough to rely on the bounce, i find it impossible to do two smooth single strokes after that...

Practice alternating between singles and doubles. Start slowly and build up your speed. Do you have a metronome?

play with wrists rather than bounce make sure your sticks are balanced this helps with consistency at speed dramatically
