I'd say mine are a 2/5. I live in the middle of one of the dustiest places on earth, and even in the winter - I gig outside on average of once a week.
It's simply impossible to keep my gig kit spotlessly clean with all this dust. I do keep the cymbals clean and clean them (with Barkeepers Friend) once a month or so. I actually keep a dust cloth INSIDE the kick drum so I can grab it quickly when I set up and give it a quick wipe down.

MIne are a solid 4. I have my kit in my office, and I can't stand to look over and see dirty drums. I only clean /polish them about once a month, but no one but me really comes in here.
