My opinion? You get any kit loaded with lugs and you can't go wrong.

Definitely see what there is in second hand options. Does NZ have Gumtree? I’ve found many a bargain via Gumtree. If NZ is anything like Aus (and I’m pretty sure it is), brand new stuff is gonna be pretty pricey...

Are you like me and have Gumtree bookmarked on your computer? Lol. You're right though, plenty a bargain on it, even stuff non-drum related. Occasionally Trading Post pops up a few good ones too.
