I owned the Pork Pie. I didn't hate it, but I returned it. It sounds best (to me) tuned up with a nice high crack, and was super loud. It sounded good, but didn't seem terribly diverse to me. I'd go with the Acrolite.

I would get a used Pork Pie Patina snare in good condition for a good price. Those snares sound great, are super versatile and look outstanding!

If you want something to cut through, get a Brass snare if you can. I have the same kit as you, and my Tama COB 5x14 cuts through without issue, and my band is by no means quiet.

I own a Pearl Free Floating Copper shell 14 x 6.5 snare and I thought about selling it at one time- its in the tuxedo bag in the spare bedroom ( I use it for a part-time storage room ) and has been for the past year.
I played it for 3 years constantly and loved it but when I got the Tama Starclassic Bubinga Elite 14 x 6.5 snare - well, the sound of the Bubinga wood won me over.
Yamaha Oak Custom 22x17 with Brass Kick Port, Brass Hoop Claws,10-12-14 racks, 16 Floor and all toms have Brass Hoops and a Tama Starclassic Bubinga Elite 14x6.5 snare in Quilted Mocha Burst and Black Nickel hardware. All hi-end Zildjian Cymbals - K Dark Thin crashes & splashes, a Zildjian A crash & a Meinl 16" crash, Avedis Zildjian 1964 ride, K Custom hats plus New Beat hats on Closed X-Hat.

I've got both and although I love the Pork Pie the Acrolite is more versatile. Like someone said get an Acro, put a Aquarian Hi-Energy on the batter and a Hi-Performance reso and you've got a snare that you can use in most situations. The vented PP is a great snare but it lacks a little in the versatility department. Either one is great but I'd take the acro. You might want to look at Pearl Sensitone aluminums as well. You can find those used on FleaBay for $125 - 150 and those things are great.
