Default Difference between Paiste PST7 and PST8

Can anybody tell me the difference between the PST7 and 8?
It seems to me that they made of same metal.
    Thanks

Same 2002 metal. The 7 is just lathed finish and the 8 is hand hammered and polished.

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

I'm a fan of the PST7's. Great look and sound for a great price.

Itīs hard to tell from the soundexamples on the Paiste site cause I sit in front of computer speakers.
But it seems like both PST7 and 8 are great cymbals for the price.

    Q. What about the PST8? Are those lesser quality or higher?

They're a 'Reflector/Sound Reflections' type of Paiste cymbal, on the heavier side. They have the large hammering. They're not my cup of tea, but are well made Paiste cymbals. They remind me of the heavier, large-hammered 2000 Sound Reflections Sound Edge Hi Hat traits, which in then reminded me of the 400 Series. If you've ever seen a 400 Series cymbal from the 80s, it's very similar to the PST8 cymbal line (basic appearance wise) but with the 'Reflector' treatment.
