Hey guys! I'm relatively new considering how long a lot of you have been here. Just asking, do any of you like metalcore or deathcore? (Woe, Is Me, Asking Alexandria, Bring Me The Horizon, August Burns Red, I The Breather, Suicide Silence, Of Mice & Men, etc)

I would've never guessed by your name.

I have listened to some of them before. I prefer slightly heavier stuff. Impending Doom, Whitechapel, Born of Osiris, Becoming the Archetype... and then stuff like Animals As Leaders and BTBAM.

I have worked with Bring me The Horizon and Asking Alexandria, both really good bands, I enjoy BMTH, especially with the electronic element they bring to the style, and AA really surprised me, I wasn't expecting to like them, but they were excellent live, and their vocalist is amazing, great range and control.

Just saw Born of Osiris at Warped Tour last Thursday. Not exactly my "cup of tea" but they were pretty good!

I personaly don't like metal but I do like Bring me the horizons Can you feel my heart and their Shadow Moes..Its a shame Oli has blown his vocal chords. and the way how he says "Bring meh the 'errizon is always funny.

The way Oli sounds in Shadow Moses and Can You Feel My Heart is how he sounds now. He can only do his yell things. Unlike his screams, and squeals he did in past albums.. I suuuuuree hope that doesn't happen to the vocalist in my band.. *puts hand over mouth and does higher voice* "you have a band?"
Oh, yes fellow Drumchat user. *insert link to band page here*

Is Unearth and Killswitch Engage still considered metalcore? I like them. But I can't stand most metalcore.

Ehh, I wouldn't classify them as metalcore. This is metalcore nowadays.

Metalcore was popular when I was in high school. Between the Buried and Me, Glass casket, and such.

I hate the clean vocals in metalcore. I love heavy metal, played in a heavy metal band. I don't mind the heavy vocals at all, but most metalcore is just too generic and too "cookie cutter" for me. Everyone sounds the same as the next band.

i'm just the opposite. i hate when its just screaming (even worse the pig-squealing) the whole song. some is fine, i just can't handle it all the time. like if the chorus is sung and the verses are screamed.
