Pops, I just don't understand how anybody can expect to sell this stuff by the way it's displayed. I hope they picked up after their dog....

Given that jumble of stands it's obvious someone rocked that kit like a hurricane.

Haha! My woman crashed her jeep and we need another car. I've seen a few adds similar to this, and turns out, it's just 2 or 3 cheap kits put together.

What's interesting about these (or not so interesting) are the quick change, snap clip type lugs. Set on the head, set on the rim, clip over rim and snap down. Looks like some are missing too. I wonder if twisting them before clamping down would be a tightening adjustment?

I remember when these PTS drums were first introduced. They were built by Remo, and the PTS inscription refers to their PreTunedSystem scheme. (I'm pulling this from my aging memory, so I hope all the facts are on target!) The sets were intended for beginning drummers and was supposed to simplify tuning.

Some of the "higher end" Remo drums sounded quite good. The shells were made of a masonite formulation of some kind, and were very dense and hard. They also offered complete lines of hardware ranging from pathetic to top notch for the times. At one time Remo had a number of famous drummers endorsing the sets.
