Wow some of these pics and prices leave me shaking my head. This thread is a lot like what I see when looking for used equipment. Way overpriced with the word "vintage" thrown around like crazy.

Great method to dampen the bass drum but the trick is to hide the felt strip right? If you like this method, there are heads designed with felt strips glued on the surface without making contact with the bearing edge.

^^^ I've done that with the adhesive backed foam weatherstripping. Just peel & stick, LOL. Same stuff you buy to seal up windows and doors.
