Mine are in an upstairs "family" room. It's a big room, mostly housing my instruments.

I built a music room in my basement, it's 22 x 18. It's been treated for dampness, insulated and has heat and air. I have carpet on the floor and the walls with an acoustic drop ceiling.

I have my drums set up with my back about 2 ft from the wall, don't like people walking up behind me.

The basement made for a decent shot, that's for sure. But this room isn't damp! LOL.

I play with my back to the window, due to space restrictions it is the only space available where I can leave my kit set up permanently. Playing with the sun on my back is not ideal, but I live in England so its only hot for a month or two of the year.

Nice space up there Mark. Plenty of room for more kits too if wanted.

Thanks js218. It was a custom rig. I guess I should try to find the correct tom arm some time.

I have two locations in the house where I play. If I want two acoustic kits set up side by side or have people over, then it's out in the garage.

Second location is a spare bedroom I turned into a music room. It's usually the home for the Gretsch USA Custom kit but I handed the room over to my son who now has his ekit and keyboard set up in it.

Definitely. I have my kit from the practice space in a bedroom off of this room. It's not set up. I also have a work bench in there where I do my guitar set ups. I'll snap a pic of that here soon.

I've had it quite awhile FlyByNight. Just now started working on a snare that came with it. All in the Ludwig thread. I'd like to get it all setup and have a sweet trap kit.
I have a lot to figure out with the vintage hardware and how to set it up. I just figured out that rod attached to the bass hoop has another rod with a hook on it to go into that clamp and dangle a cymbal from it. I also have to make a trap table.
I also found out that it's called a trap kit because it was derived from all the con"trap"tions that were used with these kits.

I especially like "friends' homes" multiple

Me, my drums are in my living room, which is also the best rehearsal space in all of Prague! Funny thing, only one complaint from people in my building in over a year of practicing basically every week, and that was when I was by myself...including the other week when i had a party and we were jamming past 11 (quiet hours start at 10 here).
