    Default Drum stick grip

How do you guys hold your drumsticks? I've gotten used to holding my sticks in between my thumb and index finger, and control with my middle and ring fingers. I hold my sticks in a french grip.

Hi, I play matched grip, and do the 'waggle' thing to check that I am not gripping too tight, my tutor showed me. It must work because I never get blisters and don't throw my sticks at the band too much :P

I use matched grip all the time. Always sucked at traditional as a kid in marching band.
As for French, German, etc Depends on where I'm striking the ride/hats mostly. Otherwise I guess it's mostly American.
Really, I just hit the freakin things!
    Proudly playing:
    Doc Sweeney Drums
    A bunch of snares
    A bunch of cymbals

    Off-Set double pedals

I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!

I play matched grip. Most of the time, it's the American position, I roll into the French position whenever I need it. I figure I'm not being grade, so it really doesn't matter if I'm getting the job done.
