Good choice
all the best...
I went to my local music store yesterday to do some cymbal shopping.
I'm looking for another crash cymbal (likely a 16-inch)............I wanted to go in with an open mind and try all that they had on hand.
Even try some 15s and maybe some 17s.
I tried four different Zildjians, a couple each from Meinl and Sabian, and another two from cheapy brands.
After it was all said and done, the CLEAR WINNER was no surprise...........
"K" Zildjian Dark Thin Crash 16.............absolutely gorgeous.
I'll go back and get it tomorrow.

all the best...
and K cymbal is a great choice.
Glad it was an easy decision. Means it was a good one.
Yeah Spaz............I want THAT CYMBAL from THAT STORE............rather than hoping an on-line purchase will be the same.
I would have bought it on the spot except I was in a big hurry with other errands to run.
I'll go get it tomorrow on the way home and add it to the kit.

I'm just curious if they will give your money back if you want to return the cymbal in a day or two.
Good choice man I have the 18 K dark thin and love it too and probably my best sounding cymbal out of my Zildjians
The most expensive generally is.

I have the same cymbal in a 17" size. I love it!

Don't wait too long! I made that mistake at the music store in Rochester, NY where I ordered my drums. Stopped in one day and they had the nicest sounding Zildjian china. I don't remember the series. It was mellow and rich/trashy. 16" I think. Used, they wanted $70 and I didn't feel justified that day. Went back a week or so later to buy it and they'd sold it earlier that day.
Cymbals are different than other drum related purchases. You need to see it, feel it, hit across all its zones, play it loud and soft. No sound file will do. It's a visceral experience. Plus cymbals of the same model vary more from one to another than drums so what you choose becomes very unique to your sound.

Ricardo, let me know all about it when you get it. I'm thinking about a 15" inch K that could double as a Hi hat top. I have this heavy very old Zildjian 15" hat bottom that is seeking a mate.
all the best...
I have had the 15" K Dark thin crash for 20 years..............love it.
I use a pair of 13" K Dark hats.............they sizzle.............I bought them originally for studio work but now I play them anywhere and everywhere.
Sold my "A" 14s.

Nice. Can't go wrong with Zildjian, I like the A custom line myself.

RIP Frank.............thanks for being part of my journey
Stopped by and bought it last night on the way to band practice.
After I got it to the store counter, I realized for the first time it is actually a medium-thin "K" Zildjian Dark............I got the 16".
Thin, medium-thin, whatever.............the sound plugs a hole I was looking to fill............love the Dark "K" cymbals.
