    C'mon man. You're killing me. Ambassador Snare Side with a coated single ply 10 mil batter ie. Ambassador,G1,PS3 etc. You're not reinventing the wheel here. Ditch the 10 mil snare side and the two ply batter as well. You are doing bad things to good drum.

    Volts admits,"Kind of like a 1 to 3 ratio." Batter vs snare side I guess. Using a drum dial I find my snare side almost equals my batter tension. But then the batter might be 3-4x as thick as the snare side head!(if my batter reads 80 on the dial, it may read 80+ on the snare side but the sound of that head will be much higher).
