Anyone out there have any experience with the Signature "fast crash" cymbals, 14" or 16"? If so,how do you like them. I'm thinking of getting one.

I highly doubt you'll be disappointed. I have a 16" Sig Thin Crash....not sure how that differs from a fast crash. It's about as close to the definitive crash sound as you can get. Bright, explosive, full but balanced and clean tone, fast decay. I'd say it's like a refined version of a 2002 crash.

I have a 16 Sig fast crash. I bought it used, about 3yr. ago. I use a Sig 18 full crash with it as my 2 main crashes, with my loud band. It cuts through the music pretty darn good. It's not as pretty sounding as the full crash, but they go together nicely. It speaks quickly as the name implies, and doesn't die out real fast. I'd say it dies out just a little sooner than the full crash, but still has a generous amount of sustain. It's fairly bright sounding, not trashy at all which I like usually. I might also add that I've had my 18 for 25 yr. this month so the Sig. can last a while. I play mostly hard rock so it's been whacked pretty good for a long time. Hope this helps.

Jazz type of players prefer the Fast Crash model to any of the other Signature models available (unless they're Traditionals); (if they ever had to use Paiste Signatures)

As mentioned; the Fast Crash decays quickly.

I'm a Signature Full Crash user and I love them.

    .2 cents worth.

I've played a 17" signature full crash and it was beautiful and sounded great. I imagine the difference between the full and the fast crashes is that the fast crashes decay quicker, making them "fast". But still hold true to their great sound
    Happy Drumming!
