You might want to check out the IndeLabs throwoffs. The guy who designed them is a former Ludwig guy. His strainers are way better than anything that Ludwig puts out. They have adjustable spacings for the anchoring screws and they will fit over the bead. I've replaced strainers on both a BB and a LM402 with the Inde strainers and I will never go back to any kind of Ludwig strainer. The Inde strainer runs about $40-$45 dollars and that includes a new butt. Unfortunately the butt is not compatible with the current layout on the Ludwigs so I saved them for a couple of builds that I have planned. Check the Inde strainers out. They're a great replacement for many of the strainers out there and the price and quality are great!

Not sure if I like the design of the SB1. Would like to see it in black or...... I would really like to see the P86 in blk. I have a custom coliseum ludwig snare and a beaded worldmax snare w/P86's on them. . . .no problem. I just ordered a 7x13 Back Magic snare and I'll see how the throw works out on that.

Josh- he designed the Atlas series. I'm going to grab a couple of these soon.
A simple, elegant design is good engineering.
