Right now I am using a Paiste 5 20" ride cymbal. The sound I'm going for now is more of a darker, crashable ride cymbal. Meinl seems to have a lot options for this route, but there are just so many it's overwhelming.
I've been looking at their Transition Ride but I would love to hear your opinions and thoughts.
Welcome to DC! If you're using Paiste PST5, it's made from B8 bronze. Almost any ride made from B20 will be dark in comparison. In fact, Paiste in general is noted for brighter sounding cymbals. The main question is what's your price range.

Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
