I use the Yamaha Metronome. You can use different sounds or switch between quarter, 8th or 16th notes. I've used it a few times while playing but I don't really play with a metronome.

In my playing days, I would watch the ladies dancing. Some at 80 BPM, some at 120 BPM, and some at 190 BPM.
That did not help my timing, and most certainly didn't help our band.
So we turned everything into medleys, that way we were right in time for several seconds until a blonde picked the tempo up.
Any lady facing away from us ran the risk of becoming my metronome. Any lady facing towards us ran the risk of becoming.......................................... .................................................. ..........................,and that's how it went for decades.
I just use the free Ludwig metronome app.. It's very simple, easy to use and basic, but that's all I ever need. And...it's free. But more importantly, it's FREE.

"Too many crappy used drum stuff to list"
Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
I use 'Tempo' and love it.
Been a "tempo" user for over 4 years and LOVE it. It's fantastic for playing with different bands and saving the setlists for all of them, you can email the setlists to others so they can load it right into the app, and you can even use a bluetooth foot controller to control it all, which is super handy for hands-free control of when the rest of the band gets off/you need to speed up or slow down the song/etc..

I just downloaded "Pulse" It works with my apple watch too. I think it's really pretty cool so far. If I used my dogs tail (german shorthair) everything would be at 160!
The app I use is called Metro Drums and it's free. Different styles jazz, blues, punk, rock etc. Also different time signatures as well. Not bad for free.
