Yes. A cajon would be a natural choice. They even make small ones and bongo type cajons.

Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
If youre in a dorm, size and volume are both considerations. A cajon is perfect. If you've never played one, it's a pretty fun instrument.
Cajon as others have mentioned. I'd also consider a djembe.
Or you could just use your snare and a pair of brush sticks?
I am involved in three different acoustic projects using a cajon or conga. A cajon allows you to play things more like a drum kit using the snare and bass drum sounds which may make it more comfortable for you. Using a conga or djembe tends to take music in a different direction and also develops a different set of skills in my experience.

We grow old because we stop playing."
"I wish that my playing reminded people of Steve Gadd. But they seem to confuse me with his little known cousin... E."
"Snare drums happen."
Cajon, djembe, etc, all would be great for this. Or, grab a guitar and join the fun too.
