Sometimes life gets in the way of things that we would rather be doing. Most of the time, the work that I do is such a pleasure that it doesn't feel much like work. When it stack up, though, you just have to roll up your sleeves and keep working. The work has paid off, and now the load is lightening a bit. Like you Marty, the desire and love for drumming never stopped.

Hey there RHD! How's things in Enid, and how many bands are you playing in now?

Enid is enid lol. I retire from the service in a few months so I haven't had much time to play. I still play at the church, but guitar and bass lol. I've done a few fill in jobs and actually played in a musical a few months ago. Tons of work but it was a rewarding experience for the 3 months it was going on. I'm just taking it easy, not enough time left to get into anything long term. But once we move and start over wherever we happen to land, it'll be on like donkey kong lol.

It's good to be back GF. As to being well, it turns out that after coming back, I came down with the respiratory virus that seems to be everywhere. I spent a week recovering, and when I tried to start doing more things, the chest tightness and cough picked up. I'm hoping that a little more rest as I come into Christmas will finally shake this thing. I better shake it, because I'm taking a little time to spend the New Year's with my daughter and her family.

Thanks again for everyone's welcoming comments. I did go visit my daughter and her family, and the grandchildren were sick with the virus when I got there. I didn't give it much though, because having just gotten over it, I was sure there was enough immunity coursing through my system to prevent me from getting. I was even feeling secure when my son-in-law went down with it. It really wasn't much fun when my immunity ran out and I headed back home with my head and chest filling up. I got my voice back for this Sunday's service, but I'm still trying to shake it.

PB sounds like your immune system is shot picking up one cold after another. You should be taking lots of vitamin C,D,K2 etc which helps strenghten your system especially when you deal with a lot of people of all ages. Hope you get well soon.

Sweet. My account still works. I too lost track of time, I think it's been a few years since i've been here. It happens the more that other stuff happens. Wow it looks pretty different here, but i'm feelin the layout - the background and green tab highlights are off the hook! No more shoutbox? Good to see a lot of the people I remember are still around, how's the drumming community at large doing? Good to see you too PB.
