My 14" K Constantinople hats have been my "go to" for almost every gig for at least the past three years. I had a show that was back-lined a few weeks ago in which I supplied my cymbals. For the heck of it I used my Paiste Signatures, including the hi-hat. It was okay, but I missed the Constantinoples.

I use a set of 13" Constantinoples (since discontinued) in the rehearsal space at my house, and I keep a set of 14" K Dark hats at our band's rehearsal space across town.

All of my other hi-hats have been living in cases for years.

I'd say my recent purchase of a set of 14" Zildjian K Dark Custom hats would be "my sound". I play mainly rock and blues so the hats have to be able to be heard over the top of tubed amps with lots of buzz and distortion and these hats are more than capable of doing the job. I find that the stick articulation is much more responsive than the 1960's 15" Zildjian A thin jazz hats I've been using since the Ks weigh more but I do find myself coming back to the 15" hats if the music requires a softer or brighter sound.

Very pretty - nice setup. What's the crash to the right of the ride?
