    Default John Bonham ride

Hello,I have John Bonhams same ride, but it doesn't sound excactly like his. Watch this video i made of the cymbal, do you agree? I really don't think Paiste 2002 cymbals are the same as the old days.

Ahhh... you can't really compare a cymbal live now, to a cymbal recorded 30-40 years ago.... lots of room for error.

Bonham switched to Paiste 2002s in 1975. So their first five or so albums were recorded with giant beats. Are you sure you aren't looking for the giant beat sound?

A great sound indeed, Bonham was the best IMO and I get alot of inspiration from his recordings but I would recommend just making your own unique sound that is good to your ear. You might surprise yourself. Hell try a different stick, or different technique, Those are good expensive cymbals and sound great.
