I got all excited to read Mixers... was thinking of a good Captain and Coke.

But no I'm not aware of Mackie Mixers

Yes, I own a 1404 which I've had for about 15 years. Excellent gear and priced competitively. Other than that, no opinion. LOL

Thank you, sir. It was my on stage monitor rig when I used Roland electronics about 15 years ago. Now it's my home P/A system and rehearsal rig.

I've been looking into those. Seems like an economical way to make the transition from analog. Plus it's got all the effects and 6 busses for monitors. How do you like it so far? Are you using the Apple or Android app? How's the learning curve?

I have a Behringer XENYX 1204 USB. It only has 4 lines in so I'm getting something with 8 lines in and am probably going to sell this. I've had it for about 4 years but I doubt that it's been used for more than 4 hours.

what is this for.... live or recording?

it makes zero sense to buy a mixing desk for recording in 2017

otherwise for live work mackie make the best priced desk IMHO ...cant go wrong with the VLZ4 series , i use a VLZ3 in my teaching room , solid and reliable

Very happy with it so far. Learning curve is not too steep. Still grasping all that it can do. Using the Apple interface. I'd highly recommend it. I'd take a look at the QSC TouchMix 8 and 16 too.

This is what I bought. It got very good reviews and maybe now I can get a cover done.

Probably going to sell this, unless I can find a way to loop them together before and after the laptop and get the music up and lined up with the sound.

With today's technology and "give away" pricing I don't think I'd go analog. Some people I know swear by them though. Guess it's what you get used to.

I can attest to the solidarity and transparency of Mackie mixing desks. Extremely good bang for the buck IMO.
