    Default ZXT Transformer 14"

Can you tell me if this cymbal is a good cymbal if used alone or stacked with another cymbal?
I'm just trying to find out if it's worth buying.
    Thanks

Do you mean the Trashformer 14"?

If you do there is a vid on youtube, its in Japanese but the sound is in English.

They have a unique trash splash type sound on their own. When stacked they are supposed to work with virtually any cymbal, but I have found very few combinations that sound good to my ears, at least not with the 14" size.
They are also not durable at all.
If you are wanting a trashy sound for accents that isn't a china, I would look into one of the cymbals with holes, or the Wuhan Linear.

If I'm not mistaken, Mike Mangini uses a few of these in stacks. He puts them under bigger cymbals.

Yep, he uses the Zildjian FX Oriental China Trash cymbals on top, and puts a 10" or 14" Trashformer below.
