I wouldn't pay $6.00 for them. That's ridiculous.
My coworker just went to see Tool last night. She told me at the merchandise booth, they had signed drumheads for $1600. I'm thinking - "that's ridiculous, who would pay that for a set of signed heads?" She then told me that was for EACH of the big ones (bass drums), and the tom heads were $600 each!!! I suppose something is ultimately worth whatever someone will pay for it, but that's just crazy. Thoughts?
omg no way. I love Danny but not that much. I have signed Sevendust snare head it ran me $50.
Anyone that pays that much IS A TOOL.
Gretsch USA & Zildjian(What Else Would I Ever Need ?)
I can get a decent kit for $1600.... For a signed bass drum head? Unbelievable!
Bands attempting to make a profit from merchandising (or at least to recoup some of the costs of touring) is fair game, but this is taking things too far, ripping off some sad fanboy for $1,600 for a drumhead is not even remotely reasonable (not my first choice of phrase) - I think the band are Tools
This must be how the band got their name....
Six Piece Mapex Saturn V, Five Piece DW Performance Series, NOS Slingerland Snares, Centent Ardor and Emperor Cymbals
Somewhere in Taiwan, there's an old woman in a factory, with a black Sharpie, getting paid $1 per day for writing "T....O.....O......L" on a stack of new drum heads.

"Too many crappy used drum stuff to list"
Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
Though it is a crazy price some people will buy them for whatever reason they have.
I have a Dave Weckl and a Carmine Appice signed 10" heads and I paid $20 total for both of them.. I agree you pay even close to those prices you are a Tool, and I bet Danny would agree..LOL
