Default Bonham rack tom ( in through outdoor )

During the recording of in through the out door, Bonham used a 15 inch rack tom ?
Anyone know if that is true?

To my knowledge, bonham got a SILVER sparkle in '75 with a 15" rack tom. Not the stainless, although I'm not sure if the stainless had a 15".

isn't that when he started using 2 kicks a little bit? there's a b/w picture of this somewhere. looked like a floor tom planted in the middle.

Bonham was a big fan of Carmine Appice. I think at the beginning of his career he got a Ludwig kit with 2 kicks. The rack tom was a 14x12 and was later cut down to a 14x10. I heard that the rest of the band pulled his second kick off the stage while they were playing because it ruined his trademark sound.
