Just put it on still massing w/it. Haven't checked out the weights yet. XL rod on it,witch I don't need really, I'll probably cut and grind to standard length. It feels pretty good though!

Interesting looking pedal you can't go wrong with direct drive.

I've heard good things about that beater.
I'm loving my new DW beater also.
The self adjusting heads are so nice.

I really like my Concept DD pedal...but I really need a stronger spring for it. I like to let the spring do half the work and help pull the beater back. I get muscle cramps around the 3rd set when I use it on a gig. Otherwise, it's a very nice pedal for the money.

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

Yeah, it's funny you said that because I'm dealing w/the spring tension myself.

My problem is I play heel-up and rest my leg weight on the front of my foot (behind my toes). I need the extra spring tension to keep the beater from resting on the head. Suppose I should just learn to play heel-down, but I have a 36" inseam and a short torso...which creates other issues, LOL.

I ordered a Tama speed cobra spring(I have a double speed cobra pedal) and they are a much beefier spring. I think and hope I'll get much better results!
