Congrats ! They will certainly make practice more fun and better your skills .
So my friend who owns the studio we rehearse and record in made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Although I wasn't in the market for another double bass pedal, I couldn't pass up the chance to upgrade from Iron Cobra Jrs to DW5000s for the price he offered. I haven't had much time to play with them yet, but I love the build quality and ease of adjustment. My double bass playing skills are no where near deserving of such a nice piece of gear but this will inspire me to improve them.

Yes, inspiration to play is very important. You'll have a blast with them ...
New gear requires pictures. It's in the rules.
That sure sounds like a nice upgrade.
Congrats!!!

Well, I had Iron Cobra Jrs, so it's definitely an upgrade for me. DW5000s and the top of the line Iron Cobras are more or less on the same level I would think.

the DWs are certainly an up grade from the Jrs. Congrats. I played the Jrs. for 7 yr. and up graded to the Speed Cobras. I'm sure you'll like the 9000s.
I've got a set of 5000's and they've survived years of beatings and still play strong
Congrats..............the 5000s are definitely great pedals
I just sold my IC Jrs on eBay. With the shipping included, I came out a bit under what I paid for them, but I got several years use out of them and I can't justify keeping 2 double pedals. Gotta try to keep the growing gear under control.

In the past, I used to play the 5000 series....................nice pedals.
Gretsch USA & Zildjian(What Else Would I Ever Need ?)
I got a pair of DW5k's doubles and their rock solid pedals! Great upgrade nub!
went from iron cobras to a DW5000 ... the 5000 suits my playing style a bit better
