Default Born on the Bayou - JAB Style

This is my first video post on the forum. This was recorded a little over a year ago at a popular club in downtown Baton Rouge that we rotated about once a month or so. The lead singer / band leader would let us have the stage without him for about 5-10 songs or so and this was one of them. You'll see him come back on stage at the end of the song.

The video was recorded by one of our fans with a smart phone or canon camera so the quality isn't the greatest. Also, the beginning and end of the song are cut off. Hope you like it.

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

Very nice! Great job on the song. I was able to see John Fogerty do this live with Kenny Aronoff, and it was phenomenal!

Thanks for the kind words! I'll bet the John Fogerty show was phenomenal! I've had the good fortune of playing a lot of John Fogerty's stuff over the years and I would love to see him and his band perform live ... and, it would be a super added bonus with Kenny playing as I really dig his approach to drumming ... what a treat that would be!

    Many thanks for the compliments!

The snare used in this video is a 5x14 Ludwig Classic Maple fitted with an Evans G1 coated batter, an Evans Hazy 300 snare side, and Puresound Blaster snare wires.
