I can't find this anywhere so I'm going to ask the experts. When Humes and Berg says the bag is 9x12 which one is the diameter and which one is the depth?

Thanks for the verification. I figured it out looking at the snare bag sizes.

I bought a H&B Galaxy bag for my 18" bass drum. After only 3 gigs, it ripped out around the seam on the top. The handles on each end are handy, but they're only sewn into the outer shell ply. When it's carried by the end handles, all the stress is applied to the seam around the edge. It's a pretty poor design. I think I'll just cut the end handles off so they can't be used.

I just bought some new bags for my new Ludwigs and went back to Gator bags. Not as nice, but I've used the same set of Gator bags for 5yrs and never any issues.

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
